If you test positive for COVID-19 and are age 12 or older, free treatment may help you recover faster and avoid serious illness. You can call your doctor and ask for help. The nurse can speak to you in your preferred language and guide you to take care of your health care needs.

Signs and Symptoms of COVID-19

People with COVID-19 have experienced a wide range of mild to severe symptoms. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Symptoms may include:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

When To Seek Medical Attention

This list does not include all possible symptoms. Please call your medical provider to discuss your specific symptoms from mild to severe. 

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion
  • Inability to wake or stay awake
  • Pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone

*If you or someone you know is experiencing any of these symptoms, call 911 or call ahead to your local emergency facility. Notify the operator that you are seeking care for someone who has or may have COVID-19.
